In the work “Venice, the sovereign with the figures of Justice and Peace”, designed for the Hall of the Board of the Doge’s Palace, Venice is represented in the form of a wise and kind ruler. She sits on the throne, holding a scepter in her hands, a royal smile plays on her lips.

Terrible lion, humbly lying at her feet, symbolizes St. Mark – the heavenly patron of the city. The kneeling figure with an olive branch personifies the World. Figure with a sword and scales – Justice.
